Buy/Make LED aircones yourself to look more professional at bottom price to attract new bookings. How to make your own professional aircones!
You have a band, are a wedding DJ or a sound rental company that wants to make a good impression? Use awesome stage lighting that you purchase at bottom prices! You might have heard of the relatively new cool LED product called aircones.
LED aircones are really neat and compact LED decoration products that will spice up any event, large or small. Personally I use them at EVERY performance receiving many positive reactions on it.
It looks very expensive but its crazily cheap! Thereby; its lightweight and inflatable. All needed connectors are attached to the unit saving you lots of time and troubles. However you have to watch out for a few things. There are aircones without DMX that are about unusable, Aircones that will cost you double the price, aircones with very low ledpower and aircones that are to high to fit in 75% of smaller venues. Use Aircones as professional stage lighting to impress your existing customers and attract new bookings easier as EVERY photo or video of your DJ or band act will look impressive and professional! Let the fun begin! You spend about 300$-600$ per piece on aircones You will need at least four of them to make nice combinations of aircones while six of them will bring you many options to make nice decorative setups. You need aircones with DMX to be able to program nice light scenes. To me they are not much of use without DMX. You should always place them behind the band, and if you have any left (in case of six) you can put 2 next to your FOH (front speakers) to cover the speakers up a little.
Why not buy cheap aircones and convert them into the expensive aircones for 30$ and 1.5 hour of your time?
So how about turning a 300$ aircone into a 600$ aircone by simply adding more ledpower to them using old or cheap led parcans? There are plenty of old fourbars RGB units for sale on ebay!
When you check your storage facility, ebay or the internet its very easy to find led-parcans with a value of 30$. When you go for the par 36 housing you will be able to find many at very low prices. What I did was very simple and you don't need any tech experience to do this, but you should be careful as it also involves high-power ciruits. The electronics of the ledpar -when you choose pars that have RGB- and the aircone are the same, except for the turbine to blow air in the cone ofc. First undo the LED-PAR from its housing. Then the trick is to open up the aircone (first disconnect the powersupply) and combine the identical wires of DMX-IN and DMX-OUT inside the aircone. Next: combine the DMX-SWITCH board plugs into a single plug. Then connect both powersupplies to become one by simply putting a 3 way power electric socket inside the aircone (plenty of space). Make sure that you run the powerchord of the socket down to the original powerchord exit. You disconnect the led-circuitboard (only a small plug will do the trick). Then mount the led-circuitboard on top of the aircone-baseplate and run the plug to the inside of the aircone-base.
Time per aircone: 1.5 hours for the rookie. Savings 270$ per aircone. So you can spice up your act with only 1350$ for having 4 professional aircones! This is what it looks like! (this lightshow has more then just aircones but the aircones are the cheapest product on this stage!)
How about putting aircones at the dancefloor too? as the aircones are DMX or sound controlled you will integrate the dancefloor and stage into one partyarea. Since we use these aircones we have more successful and more enthusiastic crowds then before. Thereby the owners of venues thank you for decorating their location like they havent seen before. This is what you need: Owners of bars, venues, weddinglocations telling their customers to look at YOUR website as you have photo's/video's on it that makes his location look good! When you invite people to come and listen to your performance to attract new bookings you can also use this ''exclusive LED package'' to trow in as a bonus/gift when people ''decide now'' An awesome way to keep your agenda packed with bookings!
